About the Role:
As a Backend Engineer at OptIQ, you will:
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable and secure backend systems for data security solutions.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that power AI-driven security insights.
- Work on high-performance data processing systems that handle large-scale structured and unstructured data.
- Ensure backend systems are robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable to support enterprise-grade applications.
- Integrate with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and optimize backend workflows for high availability.
- Work closely with frontend, data engineering, and security teams to build seamless user experiences.
- Optimize database queries and caching mechanisms to improve performance and reduce latency.

What You’ll Bring:
Experience: 1-5 years in Data Engineering Role.
Technical Expertise:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, Golang.
- API Development: Experience in RESTful and GraphQL API development.
- Microservices Architecture: Strong understanding of microservices-based design, service discovery, and inter-service communication.
- Database Management: Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Messaging & Streaming: Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS for event-driven architectures.
- CI/CD & Automation: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions to automate deployment workflows.
- Security & Compliance: Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), API security best practices, and data encryption techniques.
